About NMMU	English (USA)
Highline Community College personnel have an opportunity to pursue a graduate degree (a Master’s or Doctorate degree) in Development Studies from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. The program focuses on the British model of a thesis or a dissertation, instead of coursework as one option. Professor Richard Haines at NMMU is interested in the work we do at community colleges and thinks some of our initiatives and project activities may be a good subject for a thesis or dissertation. Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University currently has over 20 international doctoral students in Professor Richard Haines interdisciplinary Development Studies graduate program. This opportunity is a product of the collaboration with Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and Highline Community College.
